Sit 600 metres off Abu Dhabi’s northeastern coast and you’re on Al Reem a natural island that’s grown, in barely two decades, into one of the capital’s most complete places to live. It’s mixed-use in the truest sense: high-rise homes, offices, schools, parks and waterfront promenades, all connected to the mainland by bridges that put the Corniche and Al Maryah’s business district just minutes away.<\/p>

What makes Al Reem stand apart is that it’s freehold. Buyers of any nationality can own here outright, which is a large part of why the island draws such a broad, international community.
